Do you need to compensate employees for putting on or taking off work-related clothing at the start or the end of their work shifts? Determining the answer has never been easy and a new Administrator’s Interpretation issued by the U.S. Department of Labor in June may not be much help. Legal experts warn every case is different and it’s not clear courts will concur with DOL’s view.
