The last state-run Bureau of Motor Vehicles customer service center, at 1970 W. Broad St., will close next year, to be replaced by a private deputy registrar licensing agency. … Bureau of Motor Vehicles Registrar Mike Rankin said yesterday that closing the location in the state Hilltop office complex and converting the operation to a private registrar, the same as at other locations, will save taxpayers about $1 million a year.
