New charter school being built on 103rd Street

…Red Apple Development, an arm of Charter Schools USA, paid $800,000 last month for the 9.7 acres of vacant commercial land at the corner of 103rd Street and Rockola Road. Red Apple will build the school and will then lease it to the governing body, Renaissance Charter School Board, which will then hire Charter Schools USA to actually manage the school. Charter Schools USA will hire the administrators, teachers, set the curriculum, etc. Charter Schools USA already has two schools in Jacksonville: Duval Charter School at Baymeadows, which is K-12, and Duval Charter School at Arlington.
