It has been well documented that the U.S. health care system faces a systemic problem with fraud and abuse. Because Medicare and Medicaid are government-sponsored programs and are required to report on fraud, the problem of fraud in those programs receives increased attention, however according to a new paper released today, combating fraud is a challenge that faces both public and private insurers.
