Prudential partnered with Lifecare an independent Life Event Management Services vendor specializing in adult care to collect current facility cost data from nursing home facilities & assisted living facilities and homecare agencies in the 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia for all facility types.
Key themes emerging from the study include:
1. The number of older Americans continues to grow, increasing the potential demand for long-term care services.
2. Average costs for long-term care services increased over the past two years and is expected to continue to rise.
3. Costs for long-term care services continue to vary depending on location.
